OUR ORIGIN STORY ❗

David Shoroye the founder of UVERcomics grew up watching cartoons like Spiderman and his amazing friends, TMNT, Power rangers, Ben 10, Avatar the last air bender, wolverine and the X-Men , Justice league and so on. This was at a time where geekdom wasn't as popular as it is now.

These cartoon shows inspired him to start drawing and eventually start creating comics.

The dream of UVERcomics did not come until early 2017. Taking advice from my mom he decided to start drawing Nigerian super heroes and comics. It didn't take long before he found out about COMIC REPUBLIC , Youneek studios , Black sands entertainment, Spoof LTD , Vortex Corp, Kugali, Epoch studios, ,Ultimux comics,Saturday Am and others. This further boosted and increased the inspiration for him to create African Heroes.

Eventually in senior secondary School,David met Tade Isreal Adekola (Co-founder). Who was also an artist and geek lover , they cane together with there shared passion and merged their Superhero world's together. With the help of Other friends they formed the "9JA Comics brand " which would be eventually changed to (become) UVERcomics.

Uver comics is currently collaborating with other digital artist and a few creators who are driven by a pure Afro creative essence and believe that through stories we cannot only shape our world but also change it. We are steadily building our franchise and getting better as what we do (in writing , art, comics e.t.c) and gathering a fan base while also inspiring other young minds, artist and creators. We hope to do the same cartoons and TV shows did for us. We hope to introduce new realities of creativity into the comic book industry. We want to show the world what that Africa has a lot to offer and a lot of stories to tell. And one , we will. We will be at the top .
